Loving Little Ones Daycare

No Family Left Behind Due To An Inability To Pay!

                      About Me. . .

Hello Parents & Guardians. . .

I am Ms. Cynthia and I am the Founder, owner &  Sole Proprietor of Loving Little Ones Daycare in Mishawaka. I actually opened my daycare in 1989 as ABC-123 Childcare and changed it over to Loving Little Ones Daycare in 2008.

When I was a young teenager,  I started out babysitting for neighbors, family and friends. I knew long before that, that I had a passion for working with children.

I was fortunate that  I could stay home & continue to do childcare even after my oldest daughter was born in 1991 due to my husband having a strong work ethic and wanting me to be a stay at home mother.

I understand the importance of being able to raise your child(ren) while maintaining your independance and going to work, school and making a living. I began seriously caring for children out of my home in 1993. My oldest daughter Ashley was 21 months old and my 2nd daughter Amy was barely 3 months old.

I understand the difficult choice you must make when it comes to leaving your child. . . You need to work to maintain your lifestyle and pay your necessary bills. I on the other hand do not have to work but choose to do so because of my love of children. I will give the children the same love, attention and care you yourself would provide - as a partner in the raising of your children. I will be your right hand woman - there when you need me. . . always working with you to help your child grow and develop in the strongest way possible.

A Little more background on me. . .Ms. Cynthia.

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia to a single mother who could not care for me so she put me up for adoption. I was adopted at the tender yet fun age of 7 months old. I was brought up north to Indiana where I was raised in a God Fearing Home with two caring and loving parents that took time to show me the world. I was four years of age when they adopted my sister and I absolutely fell head over heels for her. I helped to care for her from the time she was one month old. Now we are as close as ever.

I went to Beiger Elementary for grades K - 8th grade and then we moved and I went to Penn High School. I graduated in 1994. I then attended Ivy Tech for a time and obtained my Serv-safe certification while working on my culinary arts degree. I was also was pursuing my accounting degree at that time. I decided that what I really truly wanted to do was not cooking, accounting or even something close. . . I wanted to continue working with children to help change the future. . . so currently I am attending Indiana University of South Bend (IUSB) for the Early Childhood Education Program. My dream is slowly evolving into a fantasy come true!

I am the oldest child in my family.  I also knew I wanted a big family- so I had three beautiful daughters.  I love children and the wonder they have in their eyes when looking at something new!

My Child Care Experience:

I have been babysitting for neighborhood children and younger cousins since I was 11 years old.  I have three wonderful well adjusted children of my own that I have begun to raise - Ashley(16), Amy(15) and Christine(11).

I was a volunteer room mother for two of my children during their elementary school days at Bittersweet Elemenetary. I watch children in my church nursery and have been doing this for about six years. Children of all ages have been a passion of mine for years and I want to pass that passion along to your family.

I enjoy teaching young children and watching their faces as they discover new things. I truly believe that children of all ages learn through play and I try to incorporate that philosophy into everyday activities. You can rest assured that your child will NOT be in front of a tv all day just because they are in a childcare home.  I have been and am still a mentor for many children - usually in the neighborhood we live in as they have no one that cares enough to listen to them or take time with them to teach them what they really want to know. I help children understand about their world, environment and peers.

I opened my home to children in 1993 because of my love of children and wanting to teach them all about the world around them. My in home childcare is geared to handle children who are between 2 weeks old and 12 years of age.  I am currently updating all of my training so that I may be current with the newest techniques, ideas, and early childhood techniques and programs.

I love spending time with my high school sweetheart turned husband Guy and my three girls Ashley, Amy and Christine. When I am not providing your family with affordable childcare, I spend my time reading as many books as I can come across, working on websites (not for money), spending my time volunteering at the local animal shelters,  and just being at home with my large extended family.

We do activities everyday here at Loving Little Ones Childcare that range from making our own playdough to making cookies to making a sandcastle to other fun and exciting artwork. I am a big fan of open-ended art and let the children create things on their own. Sometimes we make specific things but the children are always in charge of their creations. They all come out looking different and fantastic!

I would love to meet your family! Give me a call at 574.210.1990 or send me an e-mail at: lovinglittleonesdaycare@yahoo.com

WHAT I WANT PARENTS TO KNOW

I am a professional. I may have chosen this line of work because I love children and I enjoy my job, but this is still my job/business. I have received specialized education and/or training to be a caregiver and educator for young children. I am not a babysitter; I am a professional.
I am not getting rich. In many places child care workers make less then public sanitation workers, secretaries and other jobs that require a lot less education and experience. I do get paid in smiles, hugs and recognition of appreciation from families.
I need you to read all material and notices. I am counting on you to know the information I send to you in writing. This includes newsletters, notes and contract material.
It is important that you communicate with me. Let me know in advance if there will be a change in your child’s schedule, or the services you will need.
If I ask you to bring in supplies for your child, please do. And make sure supplies are replenished as needed. This may include extra clothes, art supplies, etc.
Remember your child is not the only child in my care. Although I do my best to provide individualized attention at times, I am often unable to change polices or disrupt plans to accommodate the needs of one family.
Please do not send your child if they are ill. If they are too ill to participate in the day’s activities they are too ill to be in care. I need to protect the health of other children as well. If your child is or was ill, please notify me.
I recognize that you are the most important person in the child’s life. I hope that we can work as a partnership for what is best for the child. Please share with me any concerns or questions about your child’s care and development. Work with me in helping your child learn, grow and develop.
